There’s nothing better than this nutty, super creamy, delicious turmeric tahini dressing. It’s perfect for brightening up any meal — pairing well with virtually all roasted veggies, grain bowls, and hearty salads.

Turmeric has amazing anti-inflammatory properties that improve your body’s ability to fight free radicals, create a stronger UV shield for your skin, and stimulate your cells to function better, which is crucial for glowing skin.

PRO TIP: Add 3% black pepper to your turmeric to improve its bioavailability and enhance absorption. That makes smaller doses much more effective. Think: ½ tsp of ground black pepper to ¼ cup turmeric, etc.

INGREDIENTS:

¼ cup organic tahini (see recipe below)

¼ cup filtered water

Juice of 1 organic lemon

1 tsp ground turmeric

¼ tsp ground black pepper

1 tsp tamari

¼ tsp ground ginger

1 tbsp maple syrup

TAHINI

2 cups unhulled toasted sesame seeds

4 tsp unrefined, untoasted sesame oil

¼ tsp sea salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Prepare the tahini by blending the sesame seeds and sea salt in a food processor until it’s incorporated well.

Continue to blend, slowly adding the sesame oil until it’s smooth.

Then combine ¼ cup tahini, filtered water, lemon juice, turmeric, black pepper, tamari, ground ginger, and maple syrup in a small bowl and whisk until it’s well combined.

Add more filtered water, if needed, until you’ve reached your desired consistency.

Refrigerate the turmeric tahini dressing until it’s ready to use.

NOTE: The leftover tahini will keep in the fridge for up to three months.
